K I have an hp pavilion ze5170 laptop. To it I have a 7 port usb hub plugged into laptops usb spot. I have 3 HD's and 1 mouse hooked up to the USB hub. 120GB, 120GB, 40GB, USB Mouse. I have had aboslutely no problem with the drives, i've been downloading to them, copy/deleting/moving/sharing on mIRC, with no problems. Yesterday my computer was really lagging and got an error from windows saying couldn't write to drive G:(120GB). I don't know why it happened but I couldn't restart the computer so I hard booted it. Well windows wouldn't start back up. If I unplugged the usbhub from the laptop then the computer would start up. Now i'm at the point where it will start up with the usbhub and everything plugged into that hooked up to the laptop, however the G: drive has a red circle with question mark on the icon and i can't browse the drive and it doesn't appear in My Computer anymore(the other 120gig drive shows fine, the mouse works fine, and the 40 gig shows fine. I tried system restore but like always it never works when u need it to. Some reason always when i need to do system restore there isn't a restore point for like 2 weeks instead of everyday like it shows when nothign is wrong with computer, but thats besides the point, i'm not worried about that. I have 98% of this drive that I can't display not working and I need to be able to access it. Also for some reason the computer won't restart or shutdown now either. When I tr to it just says "Windows is Shutting Down..." and never does it. So I hold power button, wait a bit, turn it on, and comes up to black screen for a few minutes(normally comp loads up really fast), after a while then it will go to the windows loading screen but stays there for about 20 minutes and then goes to windows. Hope someone can help me out, if you have any additional questions about my situation just let me know so i can fill you in and you can try to help me out.
