Using windows xp, I want my USB keychain to autorun when I plug it in, like a CD-ROM would autorun when I put it in the drive. I tried everyting, including putting an autorun.inf file on the drive. Does anybody konw how to make this work?

Check this out - I made up a CD to autorun using this program, and I cached all the files in a folder on my HD. Every time I opened the folder it ran the program, so if you put it on your drive, it should work.

Like I said, I tried using an autorun.inf file, and it doesn't work. I tried it in three machines.

Try installing XP Powertoys.

Amongst other things it allows you to control autorun on any drive.

Insert your flash drive into the usb port, and right-click on it in explorer > properties > Click on the autoplay tab and configure away.

This'll only open your drive in an explorer window, or play music files, etc.
