USB Drive hidden in my computer window

I connected my USB card reader . now its not showing in my computer windows ..
when i tried to change the drive letter of removable disk from disk management it was showing a dialog box "the operation did not complete because the partion or volume is not enabled . to enable the partion or volume restart the computer.".
Then i restarted and still it was not visible in my computer window and when i tried to change the drive letter in disk management again it was showing the same dialog box as before,
