Hi to all,

I recently changed my notebook for a new one under XP SP2 media center.

Now, no USB removable disk (as well as mp3 stick) is recognized unless plugged in a USB slot on the PC.

If I plug on a hub (even USB 2.0 certified), no way !

I had no such problem (but a lot of others...) on my previous notebook.

Thanks for any idea - Claude

Is your usb hub self powered? If it is not, perhaps there is not enough power from the new laptop to provide power through the hub and device.

Even with a powered hub, some USB 2.0 devices may not function unless they are connected directly to a USB port on the computer.
