USB device unaccessible

I have a usb device when I try to access it I get a message says that it is not formated do I want to format it. Of course no, I don't want to format it although I were able to get my files from it. What could be the reson & how to access it without formating? Cheers.

If it’s a disk drive, TestDisk may be able to repair it.

Download it from here http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/Test... Make sure you read the instructions here http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/Test... before running it and make sure you download the correct version. After downloading, unzip it, double-click testdisk_win.exe to run it and follow the prompts to repair the disk.

This is your FORTH post in the last 24 or so hours. In one post you told us you have experienced virus. As long as the PC is not cleaned, you will continue to have more problems that cannot be solved satisfactorily. Clean the PC first.

1- Is it a problem that I post as many times in such a short period of time?!
2- I am, actually dealing with more than one PC at home & office. The one with virus is not mine, it is for a, careless; colleague in the office where I work!
