Describe what led up to this happening. Did you re-install WinXP for instance?

i added a secondary hard drive but the hard drive did not work so I had to remove the hard drive and when i started windows i got some errors and I had to replace ntdetect.com, ntldr and hal.dll because they seemed to be corrupted or something :/ i reseted my bios settings to default like it was and still nothing.

You could try reinstalling the chipset drivers for your MOBO.

Try using system restore. Start> help and support> system restore. Choose a time prior to this incident. If for some reason this doesn't correct the issue then UNDO the sytem restore.
What type of second drive were you attempting to install?

Wait a little bit for Windows to configure. As I stated above, if system restore doesn't fix the issue undo it.
Are you sure you didn't dislodge anything inside the case when you were in there.
