Ok well, i use my usb ports for 2 main reasons, my mp3 player, and my digital camera. Recently I found out that I can update my mp3 player's firmware. so I did and the update allowed for me to access the mp3 players files through windows explorer and the drive would show up. After the update I found out that for some reason my computer is not reading the mp3 player. I went to device manager to see whats wrong and everything seemed fine, so i said "how bout i just uninstall the usb mass storage driver and reinstall it and maybe that will work?" but that was a big mistake. so in device manager I uninstalled the usb mass storage driver and restarted. when I pluged the mp3 player back in and turned it on the little "found new hardware" appeared like I wanted but about 3 seconds after i get the blue screen problem saying PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA. I also tried pluging in my digital camera and seeing if that would let me reinstall the usb driver but i get the same problem. I've looked around at all the other PAGE_FAULT... errors and tried their fixes for it but still can't get it to work.
what I think might solve the problem is for me to reinstall the usb mass storage driver my self without having to plug in my devices. but i dont know how i would go about doing that either.
if anybody knows whats going on or at least how to reinstall the driver please help because I'm really starting to get frustrated.

I guess the least complicated troubleshoot must be System Restore.
Restore to a date before you made the changes that caused the present problem

well I got the blue screen error to stop but now when i try to install the driver i check the device in device manager and the usb mass storage says "this device cannot start" (code 10)
