How do i know if my motherboard has it?

Yes xp supports it but it is hard to find the drivers. If your motherboard supports USB 2.0 then the CD that came with it should have the drivers. Mine did and they where signed by microsoft. So they where microsoft drivers.

USB 2.0 drivers can be found on the MS updates. Also, Adaptec has USB 2.0 drivers for their cards on their support site.

Like Ron said your hardware has to support it, if it does let me know and I'll email the drivers to you.
