Specs: Windows XP
I have a USB 2.0 to SATA/IDE OTB that works for 2.5”, 3.5” and 5.25” I tried to connect it to my computer, and it recognizes that its there but it does not show up under my computer. I have tried this on an XP and Vista both with the same results. I have also made shore that the hard drive is on master but have also tried it on the other settings. I have also tried to use the software that comes with the cabals but they said you don’t need to install anything if it is a XP or higher. I just don’t know what to do to make it work to use the drives that I have
this is what i bought

... with the drive hooked up click "start" run (type) explorer [press enter]

... in the left pane navigate to the drive, sometimes it'll show up there.

The drive has to be partitioned/formatted before it will show up in My Computer or Explorer.
This can be accomplished in Disk Management.
