nah youre absolutely right !
but i have yet to see many usb 2 type devices although most usb2 cards will operate at the slower usb 1 type interface !

USB 1.0: 1.5 Mb/s USB 1.1: 12.5 Mb/s USB 2.0: 480 Mb/s Firewire: 400 Mb/s SCSI: 2560 Mb/s PCI: 2128 Mb/s
USB 2.0 is not a SCSI card. WAY too slow. USB 2.0 is great because it replaces the annoying IEEE1394 standard by going faster and becoming easily plug and playable like USB nicely offers. All USB 2.0 cards and hubs that I've seen are also compatible with older USB 1.1 devices. Some digital cameras and faster USB devices will take advantage of USB 2.0. That's about it.
