USB 2.0 not working off mb headers

My mobo is biostar tforce 6100-939 I plug my jump drive in the rear USB ports and it works fine but plug it in the front usb and device is not reconized? all my older 1.1 devices work well in the front.

Did you build this PC yourself?
You may want to ensure that all the wires are connected correctly to the front USBs... sometimes some wires may get plugged in wrong, the USB still works... but not with everything.
Another option.... there maybe be a jumper or a BIOS setting to enable USB 2.0. I know you stated that it works fine in the back, but some mobos allow seperate "on/off" USB options for each header/usb "cluster".

Well it says in my manual that there is 4 2.0 USB ports wich is how many are in the back I/O header,and they all 4 work at 2.0. so I guess the front 4 are only 1.1 USB ports. There is nothing in the bios that specifies any port changes on USB.
I guess I'm stuck getting a card to enable?

Yeah...
That's another option I forgot to mention, some boards only have certain USB 2.0 ports... one of my older PC's is like that.
