Comment:

Hi i just formatted my Packard Bell Notebook R1004, I formatted it with Windows XP Professional. A lot of drivers did not istall automatically so i got them from support feature on the packard bell website, the only drivers that didnt install were: the VGA controller but i searched for this on google and got the driver from the VIA website. The only other driver wich i cannot find anywhere is the USB 2.0 Driver, this has an exclamation mark in yellow Saying: Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller. I was wondering where i can download this driver? I cannot live with the speed of USB 1.0 because it is transfering files at that speed

All help will be well appriciated

Thank you in advance

Hi emsee,

Sorry I wasn't very clear. I meant the USB device you are connecting to the computer, not the computer itself.

Mesich

Hi emsee,

It looks like you are going to have to download service pack 1. Here is a copy/paste from usbman.com;

Microsoft Win XP USB 2.0 drivers are included in Service Pack 1.

Service Pack 1 which includes USB 2.0 support for Windows XP is available at the Windows Update Site.

The stand alone drivers have been pulled from both the Windows Update and the Corporate Download sites.

Best Regards,
Mesich
