Hi, I have had my computer for quite some time now. Recently a friend of mine bought a similar computer, but he had to pay extra for usb2.0. I want to know if i have usb2 becasue it does seem kinda slow when i transfer files via usb. Is there a way to check using software to find out what version of usb my computer has?

If you have "Enhanced" USB contoller" listed in device manager under Universal serial bus controllers, then you have USB 2.0.

Your Motherboard may be capable of using USB 2.0 and you just don't have the updated drivers loaded. Even if you have service pack 1 or 2 installed, sometimes you still need to go into device manager and "update" your USB drivers to get Windows to install them.

Just let Windows do a search for updated USB drivers and point it to your C:\Windows\system folder.
