Hi all,

I sometimes turn my computer on and get greeted with a blue screen and the message:

"Stop:c000221 (Bad Image Checksum)
The image urlmon.dll is possibly corrupt. The header checksum does not match the computed checksum."

What does it mean, and what should I do?

Thanks.

Windows seems to have a problem reading the file. To refresh it I would copy the file to another folder. if it copies ok, copy it back to the original place and overlay the original.

It might not be a bad idea to have chkdsk scan your hard drive for weak sectors. To do this run 'chkdsk /r'. Note that it will take a long time, hours for a large drive.
