Comment:

I have installed the ATI driver updates from the web. Later I wanted to change the settings of my monitor. By mistake I pressed "change the display" and now I cannot work with my monitor. I can start the computer but after boot up XP it switches off the monitor(CPU is running). Please help me to find a solution for this.

Monitor is Highscreen' MS 1795P

Thank you in advance

tap f8 a few times to get the start-up menu
then choose safe mode , or vga mode.
to make the necessary changes.
you could also restore to last known good config.

that should say right after the bios screen
tap f8 a few times, normally when the bars are moving under the xp logo, to get the menu.
