Upon Login, screen goes to colorful noise...

When I start my desktop PC, it goes to the login screen. I type in my password, the desktop loads up. Then suddenly everything goes to colorful noise and the keyboard becomes unresponsive, although the IR sensor on the mouse still lights up with movement. When this happens I have to turn off the computer physically and try again.

I think you have...either virus or general windows problem... start the computer in safe mode and backup your data in a separate partition... reinstall windows then...
