i'm not sure if this is the right area to post. i have a bunch of old music (10gb worth) on my old computer and wanted to transfer it to my new one. i was thinking of buy a mp3 player, this way i can transfer all my old songs...but i heard you can't upload mp3s to ur pc from a mp3 player. Is this true? If yes, is there a way around it? If no, which mp3 player will allow you to upload mp3s? Any info will be appreciated. Thanks.

I can certainly do it on the mp3 players we've got - they all just appear as extra drives in Windows Explorer & you just drag & drop either way as you would any other drive.

I don't understand why you would buy a MP3 just to do this. You can use a cross over to connect the 2 computers and just transfer that way. I just used a small jump drive to switch my songs fro computer to computer.

I agree with citti34, unless you intend to use the MP3 player as it is meant, as a portable player to take with you where you go, you'd waste money.
