I recently upgraded my system from Windows Me to Windows XP. My Canon S520 printer, which has worked beautifully for the past two years, is now printing images of very low quality. Specifically, the images are coming out blurry and grainy. I downloaded the Windows XP update for my driver off the Canon website, thinking that would help, but it has not. I am certain this has to do with the change in my operating system, as I never had this problem before.
I contacted Canon, and tried their suggestions (reset my printing preferences to Best Quality, correct paper settings, etc.) to no avail. Does this have something to do with the printer driver printing at a lower resolution? I am printing out of Photoshop 7. I am at a total loss. Do you have any advice?

Upgrade? If any old ME stuff is there you might get some problems. If you did a clean install then it should work better I would think. YES the resolution must be the same for a fair compair!

Remove the printer and let it reinstall itself on the next boot.
You may need to put in the XP cdJust a thought
Let us know if soemthing works.Good luck
