OS: 98 -> xp
CPU/Ram: 600mhz cpu. 128mb ram

im upgrading my pc from 98 FE to Xp Pro and dont have all the cds for software wat came with it. So is there any way i can back up My Programs folder without partitoning or using a cdrw.

If you upgrade, your applications and data will automatically migrate to XP, and you can still uninstall Windows XP later if you wish. But in that case, you'll lose any applications (and related data) that you install after upgrading to XP.

I have found a very good guide here on upgrading to XP-

(copy that into your browser address bar and click go)

Be awarethat some older software and hardware may net be compatible with XP. I strongly suggest that you do check the website I've posted above.
