Upgrading to XP Professional

CPU/Ram: P4 2.2, 1 gig ram

I want to install Windows XP Professional over XP Home. Has anyone done this? Are there issues I should be aware of or will things work pretty much OK? I won't do it if it means losing all my audio/video settings, shortcuts, etc.
