ok, i hav an AGP 16MB 3dfx Voodoo3 card in my comp and i want to upgrade to an AGP 32MB ATI rage 128 card, the thing is when i plug the new one in, the monitor displays the bios and then shows the windows XP loading page then freezes. I started it up in safe mode and it listed the drivers and stopped at "AMDAGP.SYS". i do not have the original XP disc to install drivers as the computer was a gift. What can i do?

I don't know whether this causes your problem or not. To install ATI cards, you must uninstall drivers, file and registry entries from another brand video card. There are utilities available to do this.
