Comment:

I need to upgrade from XP Home Edition SP 1 to SP 2. I have Automatic Updates enabled, but so far this hasn't happened automatically. I go to the Microsoft Download site and see lots of upgrades but nothing specifically for XP Home Edition. Can anyone tell me which one to choose/how to make this happen?
Thanks.

There is no difference between SP2 for home or pro. However, you will need to install WGA (windows genuine advantage) in order to download SP2. I suggest that when you do DL it that you burn it to disk. The update is quite large and besides that you may have addional need for it in the future.

Look at the post by one of our members and follow the link in his post to determine if you still wish to use autoupdate.

Also, before installing SP2, make sure that your computer is free of spyware and viruses.
