I'm trying to update my windows xp x64, I can download all the updates that the site tells me I need but they won't install. I looked at the history and discovered that I have them already instlled. For some reason the windows update site is not reading my history. I've stopped the auto service and restarted it several times, and still get the same problem. What am I missing???

Try removing them, then run Windows/Microsoft update while in the safe mode networked and install them while in the safe mode..

There is nothing to learn from someone who already agrees with you.
