I have this annoying blue search bar attached to my IE toolbar. I can't figure out how to get rid of it. It's not listed when I right click on toolbar. I'm new to all this, but i'll try and link to capture of it. If anyone recognizes it and knows how to get rid of it, let me know. Thanks http://www.geocities.com/rbcash/toolbar.html?1070442301703

If you cannot locate and remove it in the Windows Add/Remove Programs area, you need to install and run either Adaware or Spybot Search & Destroy. One of these should remove it for you.
Just my 2¢.

Captain Rancor is right. Here are the links.
You may have a virus or trojan or worm or adware or some other sort of malware.
Run an AV scan, and download AdAware and Spybot, install them, update them, and run them. Delete anything that looks suspicious. Some advise deleting everything because it's all reversible. Also get Spyblaster which keeps a list of bad stuff on your computer and blocks them from being installed (theoretically). Be sure your independent (not MS’s) firewall is enabled.

may be a long shot, but get 'myuninstaller' and see if it's listed. Handy utility which eliminated last remnants of some spider virus we caught one time.Utility is worth having even if it doen't help with this problem.Frank

you can not use ad-aware or any spyware programs to get rid of this bar. you have to go into reg-edit and the following directories.
local machine, software, microsoft, internet explorer, toolbars.
then look under the data sention and delete the entry with nothing in the data column.
