I cant get rid of explorer bar on the left of every folder I open. I have tried simply closing it, choosing tools/options/view/apply to all folders but this does not work.Any suggestions gladly accepted and thanks in advance.
This does work but has to be done on opening every folder, therefore it is just as easy to hit the X on the explorer window and close it that way. I would like a system wide change that prevents the necessity to do this on opening every folder. Thanks for responding.
I already had the folder view settings increased from the default 400 to 7000 and still this issue persists. At one stage I think may have adjusted the reg to allow for the folder tree to be displayed (down the left side) in every folder - every time you open one (or many). I have forgotten which reg key i did this with. I am a photographer and at the time thought this ability to navigate no matter which folder i was in would be useful. It was, but unfortunately the lost space down the left side made this more of a pain than a benefit. With so many images in each folder I have found that in the end the space to view them is my main priority.I can just close the bar in every folder every time but it is a pain and is driving me mad.
