Good evening all, I scanned for Windows Updates, four critical ones were available, so I downloaded all four of them at the same time. One of them installed o.k.; 3 of them were unsuccessful, and showed in my "review history" section as unsuccessful. I then decided to manually install them, one at a time. This was a success as they installed o.k. Now, my problem...... Now in my "review history" page, it shows all 4 as being installed successfully, but it also shows the 3 that didn't install on the first attempt, as showing as "unsuccessful". Of course, all four did in fact install on the 2nd. try, but now I have an awkward listing "successful" and "unsuccessful", even though they are all installed. I have searched everywhere, and can't find any info on how to correct my "review history" page. Can someone suggest a way that I can delete the 3 "unsuccessful" listings, without fouling up the "successful" part of the updates? I have tried left clicking, right clicking the 3 erroneous listings, with no luck. Has anyone else ever run into this before? Thank you very much, Tommyo

I wouldnt worry about it. If the successfull installs are nearer the top of the list it will overide the uncessful ones when looking for further updates.

I think the History is just for the User's information - the 'events' are listed in order from bottom up as Stuart says

I think the Site determinmes what you need when it does the Scan of your Computer - if it relied on the History then there'd be no need to Scan ?

I have had a similar thing happen in the past and all was well next time I went

Thank you all very much for the fast responses; I guess it's more of a "cosmetic" type thing, as all of the updates are indeed installed; it's just that it "ruins" the appearance of my history folder. note to gabep - yes I did reboot, as all 4 of them had that pop-up box come asking if I want to reboot now, to which I said "yes". I read this forum for hours each day, and I've never recalled anyone having that happen before - it kind of looks weird to have the history list 3 updates as being both "sucessful", and "un- successful"; I have never seen that before. Thank you very much for helping me out; if anyone knows a way to delete those unsuccessful ones, please advise. Many thanks, Tommyo
