Unspecified error

OS: Windows XP Pro
CPU/Ram: XP2400+/512Mbpc2100

I am having problems with the 3 user accounts i have on my newly aquired toshiba notebook(P4 2.6/224M ram/xp home/SP2).I have just installed the simms 2 for my son to be able to run from his account but can only execute the program from the administrators account,i have tried everything i can think of but all that happens is a screen comes up like a loading screen ,then a message saying "unspecified error".
This is driving me mad,can anyone help?

You might have to change the account that he has; and make him at least a power user under computer management.
