Hi,
I am trying to open .accdb file in Microsoft Office Access 2003 and I have already installed 2007office compatibility Pack. When I try to open .accdb file in Access 2003 then system gives error saying unrecognized database format .accdb
Can any body tell me why System is giving me this error.

I believe that the office compatibility pack really only helps you to view word, powerpoint or excel files. To view the accdb file, you will need someone using Office 2007 to save it as a mdb file then send it back to you.

Checking the compatibility download normajean47 is correct. there is no conversion for the older Office programs to read 2007 Access files. Tell the sender to resend after saving in the older format. There are 3 save as formats, 2007, 2002/2003 and 2000.
If you are using Office XP or Office 2003 then have them select option 2.Richard

My co-worker able to open .accdb file into office 2003 and his m/c have 2007office CompatibilityPack.
We don't know why?
