Specs: Windows XP, 1.86GHz, 1GB DDR2
Dunno how to explain the case. Still am trying my best.
May be out of curiosity or adventurous mood i converted the 80GB hdd of my laptop to DYNAMIC DRIVE . It was MS VISTA that was at the time. When i rebooted, the OS failed to boot and found myself guilty for converting it to the DYNAMIC DRIVE. I tried to repair the VISTA still it dint work out. As i knew LINUX was an amazinf creature with more power than the MS i installed Ubuntu on my C:. I was alarmed as i dint find the rest of my partition. I tried a lot to find those partitions but in vain. Thinking that the Xp might recognise the DYNAMIC DRIVE i installed the old Xp. But now its shown that the rest of the partition is unreadable dynamic partition. It contains my D: and E: of which i need to retrieve my D: completely and almost losslessly. Please advise me. Dead line of my project submission date is soon approaching.
HELP!!!!

No backup and you have a deadline?

Start in the lower left of this web page with Data Recovery and find a software that can restore from Dynamic [if possible].

Otherwise you are hosed. Last thing you ever wanted to do was install any thing least of all ubuntu or xp. Your recovery should have been done from bootable cd so you didn't write to the disk you were trying to recover

I tried the OO Partition Recovery software but the retrieved files were so pathetic that no one could identify which file was which..

How to recover using a bootable disc?
