On a user profile I have a hotmail account on MSN Messenger set up and a ISP POP account set up on Outlook Express 6. I've read all my e-mail messages, I'm sure of it, but whenever I log on it says "1 unread e-mail" on the log on screen, or for example if i really do have two unread e-mails, it will say three unread and so on, always with one more unread e-mail than I really have. How do I fix this?

Are there junk messages in your junk mail folder or trash folder? Those are unreads as well.

When you set up outlook express it throws a generic "Welcome To Using Outlook" msg. See if that is still in there and delete it.
