I keep getting a blue screen with UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME.
*** STOP: 0x00000ED (0X81F7DC98, 0XC0000032, 0X00000000, 0X0000000). I get this as soon as it starts loading windows. The partition seems to disapear and it needs to be repaired every couple of days. Once the disk gets fixed, windows works fine and another two days later it does it again. The HDD, power supply, and memory have been replaced. This is a P4 2.0 GHz, ASUS P4S533 board and 80 GB HDD. I'm using windows XP PRO and NTFS.

I cant figure this one out. what would cause the partition to disapear other than having a bad hhd (it has been replaced twice)

The things that I would try next are:
1. Try a different processor
2. Try a different motherboard, or get a controller card to get it off whatever channel the hard drive is currently on.

See the Microsoft Knowledge Base article Q297185 "STOP 0x000000ED UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME". Let us know how it goes.
