Run the recovery console Restart the machine with ur OS cd in ur topmost drive. in the Ist screen u select R to enter Recovery console. In the IInd screen select 1 & hit enter. in the IIIrd screen put in ur administrator password & hit enter. in the IVrth screen type in c prompt chkdsk /r & hit enter. this would ru the recovery console. hope this works.
