Comment:

I have added the hard drive from my broken computer (an eMach. T2385) to an older computer (an eMach. T1090). The broken computer's HD is now the slave or 2nd HD on the T1090. I had my user account password protected on this HD when the computer died and could not get it to load up as the master on the older computer (the T1090). While I am able to use this HD as a storage device, I am locked out of all my personal files and am not given the option to enter a password to unlock the file. I tried moving the folder to the "Shared Documents" folder (I have seen this as a fix for my problem), but I suspect that this doesn't work because the folder I'm moving is larger than the available free space on my older computer. I get the message "make sure the disk is not full or write-protecte". The master HD on the T1090 is very small. How can I unlock my files and/or delete my user account password?

You need to take ownership of the folder.
