Unknown file format, corrupted file

Hello,
I downloaded a zip.file in Win.RAR per BT. But now I can´t open the file, every time I want to open it there stands "unknown file format or corruped file". I don´t know which format it has, but other users said they could open the file.
How can I open it?>_<

Please please help!

People do all sort of things to extensions of files shared on P2P.

Can you open another zip file ?

I think the file is corrupted. you may re-download it!

I can open other zip.files without problems, but this one can´t be opened>_<
