I know this may not be where this belongs but I did not know where to post it.
I have a 6' cable with a 9 pin D connector on one end and a 1/8" stereo plug on the other end. For the life of me I don't know where it came from or what it is for. Does anyone here know what it is used for?
I don't want to just throw it away for fear I may need it sometimes.

landon, pure speculation. Could it be a cable designed to connect the output of your computer (either serial port or printer port) to something like a VCR or TV? Maybe designed for recording/monitoring output?
HTH.
