My subscription to NAV 2005 runs out in a few weeks. I was thinking of getting rid of it, (Going with another software) but I heard there have been allot of problems removing it. Has anyone had any problems uninstalling NAV 2005?
TIA

Have you even tried just running the uninstaller from the Add/Remove Programs applet?
I bet it uninstalls fine.

I haven't even tried to uninstall it yet. Wanted to make sure I had no problems first. Read some place that when they uninstalled it they weren't able to connect to the Internet because of the firewall.
Thanks for the replies.

You shouldn't have any problems uninstalling. If you do it right. Make sure to "Dissable Auto Protect" first. Also do a virus scan and check the quatantine and delete anything in there. Symantec always leaves files, folders & registry keys behind. They do this so people don't reinstall and get another free year of service. So if you want these files gone you will have to remove them manualy. I dont think Symantec has a removal tool yet for the 2005 products. In fact I think they have removed them all. And no longer have removal tools.

Hi Clamraker, plainandsimple, Dr.Nick, klasickumputer, hello everyone,
It's recommend to first try using Add/Remove Programs, after first verifing that ccApp is running along with a handful of services.
If you encouter errors using that method there is a utitity, SymNRT, you can download to remove it.
explains how to uninstall Norton 2005 and contains a link to the utility if needed.Best Regards,
