Uninstalling motherboard drivers

Recently I had to change the motherboard and processor in my husband's PC. I have installed the drivers for his new motherboard (MSI) but the old ones (Foxconn) are still on there presumably and start up is really slow as it's still trying to load the drivers for the old motherboard.
Does anyone know if these old drivers can be uninstalled without having to reformat the hard drive? I still have the driver CD for the old motherboard if that's any use.
