I installed easy cd creator 4 on my winxp machine, only to find out that it doesn't support winxp. I uninstalled it afterwards, but 2 drivers it installed still appear to be loading and I get an annoying message about it everytime I start up my computer. I use nero instead now, and it works fine. how can I stop winxp from trying to load these drivers? I know where the 2 .sys files are, but I don't want to just delete them. I found registry entries for each in the SharedDLLs folder for windows, would removing those entries stop them from being loaded?

As long as those files aren't being used by any other app (and most likely they aren't), you can remove those registry entries. Back up the registry first, though, just for safety's sake.

Then delete the files themselves.
