I recently performed a Windows Update (can't remember everything I installed but one hing was ASP - not sure what it was for but I went for it anyway). I noticed some time afterwards that my web pages load slower. Also, more importantly, my Uninstall Programs list has only about 10 items on it. It used to list Win Updates, etc. Also my volume control emits a system beep instead of the usual "ding" sound it used to. I seem to be virus and spyware free (according to AVG AV and Adaware6 & SpybotS&D). Does anyone have any idea why this is? Any suggestions are much appreciated. My machine is a stock HP522n.
