If I recall correctly if you mount the office 2007 cd you have the choice of uninstall or repair.

Give us some ideas -

1. What can Office 2003 do that Office 2007 cannot?
2. Are you unhappy with the ribbon bar introduced in 2007?

The cd did not have an uninstall option. With the Micrisoft fix from there web site this is the message that come up.
There is a problem with the windows installer package a script required for this install to complete could not be run.

As far as being unhappy with it I am not. I had a user that screwed up.

I am VERY unhappy with Office 2007 ribbon bar and I am evaluating to uninstall and go back to Office XP I am experienced since 2001 with.

I considered to buy a tool to mimic the classic interface, but hoped to become familiar with the new ribbon; now a year later I am so tired and bored to think to go back.

So I appreciate your advice about the issue as you are a well known higly skilled regular.

The error is saying there is a problem with your Windows Installer. The add and remove programs uses this to unintall applications. Probably why it did nothing when you went to add remove programs. I think you can fix Windows Installer by reinstalling it...
