Can anyone please help me how to uninstall a Norton Internet Security 2003 version program on my latop. i want to unistall this program in order to install a new NIS 2005 version on my laptop. however, whenever i try to uninstall the old NIS 2003 ( or install the NIS 2005) via the "Control Panel and Add/ remove program", it give me a error message : TCP/IP protocol needed to be installed. the NIS 2003 is still working fine but it's almost out of this so I want to have the NIS 2005 version installed. thanks you in advance

oxmam, take a look inside it's folder and see if there isn't isn't an uninstall proggy. Things get put in obscure places and the uninstaller knows about them, whereas add/remove doesn't. HTH. Ed in Texas.

thanks you for all your helps, especially to Cache. with your help, i'm able to uninstall the NIS 2003 now. however, i encounter a problem when I try to install the new NIS 2005 vesrion on my computer. the NIS 2005 installation seems starting smoothly but then stop right in the middle of the installation and gives me a message " NortonAntivirus encountered a internal program error. uninstall and reinstall NortonAntivirus". with an "OK" dialog box. when i hit the OK dialog box, a NIS 2005 suncessful installtion window appears. eventhough it says the NIS 2005 sucessfully installed, i can't use the program. when i try to uninstall and reinstall the program, it gives me the same message again. what do i need to do in order to fix this problem. please help. thank you in advance.

Hi, Tufenuf. I already downloaded that and the Rnav2003.exe when I used them to uninstall the Norton Antivirus and Internet security 2003 version my latop. there's no NIS 2003 programs on my computuer now but the problem now is that when i try to install the NIS 2005 version, it gives me a error message and the program won't works and I have mentioned these problem in the earlier message. I don't know what else do i need to do now to fix it
