Are you taling about Windows Explorer or Internet Explorer? I've never saw any unhide tab or tools>properties. Can you try to explain it better? unhide what?
Tufenuf

Maybe he is speaking of the autohide selection in taskbar properties.
Try holding down the windows key.. this should bring the taskbar up.Once the taskbar is up you can right click on it to bring up properties and taskbar settings.
best of luck Frank :

I tried holding down the windows button and releasing it, it only opens the start menu for me.
Just right click on the task bar and click on properties, there you will find the hide function...HTHHopefully my advice will help you...Please post back with your results....thanks

SOOOOORy ,I 'll clear it up.i'm talking of windows explorer in winxp. there is a unhide radio button in the loccation i have mentioned.i generally play with registry and one day i found that button has disappeared. how to bring it back
BHABANIPRASADPATI@GMAIL.COM

Do you mean this?
1. Open Windows Explorer>Tools>Folder Options
2. Click the View tab in the Folder Options dialog box.
The Hidden files section contains two radio buttons. Do
Not Show Hidden Files and Folders and Show Hidden Files
and Folders.
3. click the Show Hidden Files and Folders radio button.
click OK.If you do check out the link below.
How to Get "Show Hidden Files and Folders" Back if it is Missing

newageBATMAN, There's also an automated fix at the link below on Line 155 (left column)"Enable/Disable Show Hidden Files/Folders" which you'd click on to download a vbs file. Download .vbs file and save it to your hard drive (you may want to right click and use Save Target As). Double
click the vbs file. You will be prompted when the script is done.NOTE: If your anti-virus software warns you of a "malicious" script, this is normal if you have "Script Safe" or similar technology enabled. These scripts are not malicious, but they do make changes to the System Registry.
Enable/Disable Show Hidden Files/Folders
