Understand System Performance in XP

I am tasked with running a Performance Monitor on my system and others and I don't know how to "read" the results. Is there any place that I can find to help me with understanding what the performance monitor output indicators are "saying?" They are running and I am uncertain if they're working correctly or not.

The link I just gave you involves a lot of reading and deciphering too if you're not a true geek. THIS one comes with plenty of samples and fewer words. I think you'll be happy with it.
