How do I correct this to open a local folder? I am trying to put the link in my contacts in Outlook in the notes section, and just click on the link for each clients folder. I can easily do this for server paths, just can't figure My Docs

I never use outlook, but I'd assume it'd be c:\Documents and Settings\Bryan\My Documents\Business\john, as UNC is for network names, and you're not using the network to access local files.

thanks, but no, this doesn't turn a path into a "link". It is correct for the run command or IE, but not as a link in Outlook

Well, if you're an administrator, you might be able to use the administrative shares. \\<computerNameHere>\c$\Documents and Settings\Bryan\My Documents\Business\john

Are you placing this in the actual "Notes" in Outlook, or in one of the fields within the Contact's actual address book entry?

If it worked before on this system, what changed? Have you tried enclosing the path with quotation marks?
