Hello everybody,
I am doing unattended installation over a n/w by creating a distribution share. I was able to connect to shared folder, but after starting the setup it is showing the message that "please wait while setup copies files to hard disk and hanging there. Its not moving further. Kindly suggest whats wrong in my answer file.

(please wait while setup copies files to hard disk and hanging there)
Are you sure, it is hanging there for good? If the installation is from DOS environment and smartdrv.exe has not been run on the destination Hard Drive - it will take hours and hours to write the installation files to the hard drive. Just a thought that came into my mind.

Check if the following conditions apply to your situation and if so try the suggested troubleshoot at the end:
For details check:
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=296814

1. You loaded the SMARTDrive tool and you used the following switches:
a. /x
b. /c
c. /l
d. InitCacheSize
e. WinCacheSize
f. /E:1024

2. You did not load Smartdrv.exe prior to running Winnt.exe.

To resolve this issue, run the smartdrv command without any switches. You might have to modify the Autoexec.bat file to remark the entry for SMARTDRV, and then run SMARTDRV manually.

Does the Unattended Disc do the same in another PC in the network with different hardware configuration?
This is to rule out any hardware problem with the PC you tried to use a Network install.

Another issue, a problem with the Disc itself such as small flaws that can make CDs hang during run.
I could not find any glaring flaws in your Unattended. TXT

Just a friendly Reminder: XXXX out or post a false admin Password if the one posted is genuine:-)
