Hello, I was hoping that someone can help me I want to set up a Windows CD that can do an unattended install and I have done a ton of searching but I can’t seem to figure out exactly how to do it... As far as I can figure I need to run setupmgr and create a Unattended.txt but I am not sure where on the CD to put it? I am also not sure if I need to burn all the files of my original cd or just the I386 directory? I am also curious about have the CD install SP1 as well as the hot fixes but I have not been able to find anything about that so I have no idea about how to set that up. Any help is most appreciated.

Thank you in advanced
Mark

Hello,
Your'e supposed to copy it to a floppy disk under the name winnt.sif
When you start your PC, you boot from the CD and stick the floppy in after its started booting from the CD so the setup finds it.

Incidently;
You can enter ProductID= (CD key with hyphens) under the heading [Userdata] after the file is created.

P.S
to enter the Product key details you open the file with a text editor e.g. notepad
Setupmgr names it unnatend.txt but re-name it to winnt.sif and save it on the floppy
