unallocated hard drive

Specs: Windows XP Pro, P4 2gigs
I have a Windows XP system with 3 Hard Drives: 1 which is partitioned into my C and D drives and the other 2 in a Windows XP OS RAID array for speed (not mirrored) Audio production. The RAID system work fine for years (built in 2003) and then started messing up and I’ve had to baby it to get it work and it did but now it’s just not going work anymore so I went into the RAID Bios and deleted the RAID and returned the drives to just drives…In my Windows XP Disk Management screen the drives show up as Unallocated and I’m wondering what I need to do to use them. Do I just format them or will that mess my system up? I’ve been able to work with external Firewire drives and don’t want to crash my Workstation…Please advise…thanks Albert

allocate, format, use...
you will loose all data on the drive when you do that, so make sure you have the correct drive.
