unable to view some web pages

I am unable to view some web pages, I get a blank screen with the word done in the bottom bar of the browser. I installed service pk1 and this cured the problem until the next time i powered up my pc. this problem has only ben around dince i installed xp ... i use internet explorer as a browser, any ideas????

have you downloaded all windows updates from the windows update page from microsoft. Go to tools and select windows update the web page will do the rest.

try resetting all of the interent explorer settings (TOOLS -> INTERNET OPTIONS -> Programs -> RESET WEB SETTINGS then ADVANCED -> RESTORE DEFAULTS click ok close the browser and open it again
by the way Diver, your name wouldn't happen to be Mike would it?

I had kind of a similar problem, but it was solved when I enabled both HTTP 1.1 settings under Internet Options > advanced
