This is a little long so please bare with me.
This is a very unusual problem. My computer is up 24/7 except for the occassionally update restarting. Anyway the other day I lost power and the computer booted with a boot block BIOS error and I now have to reset the BIOS every time I reboot. I'm going to update the BIOS to fix that problem hopefully. That was the first problem.
Now I have a few problems in Windows. I cannot sync my time with either of the default time servers. I can sync my other computers with them so its not the servers. I did a little research and disabled the firewall and stuff but with no luck.
Now every time I goto log into yahoo, hotmail, my bank, anything that secured sites it give me a "Security Alert".
Information you exchage with this site cannot be viewed or changed by others. However there is a problem with the sites security certificate. The security certificate has expired or is not yet invalid.
I know I can disable these warnings but I'd rather find the issue with it. Also another odd problem I am having is when I click start "All Programs" has the balloon "New Programs Installed" and most of my programs are highlighted as new programs even though they've been on for months. I also tried to do last know good configuration and that didn't change it.
Could someone please help me? I'll take any suggestions. I know there are probably more issues, if i find them I will post them ASAP. Thanks.

The first time I plugged in my computer, after purchase, I moved the plug to another socket. I was unaware that Windows was starting when plugged into first socket.
I found later that various things were not functioning correctly. So I had to a reinstall to factory condition. So anyway things can get corrupted with abnormal shutdowns.
Try-
System File Checker:
Open the Command Prompt, then type:sfc /scannow
note space between the c and /
Have XP CD in your drive.

I was trying time.windows.com and the other default one for time.
I forgot about sfc I've used it a dozen times in the past. I'll give it a shot thanks for the advice.
