Unable to recognize RAM

July 6, 2011 at 06:57:31
Specs: Windows XP, PC2- 5300/ 3g RAM
I have a Toshiba Satellite Laptop A105 S 4324. Yesterday I upgraded from Windows Sp2, to Sp3.
The 3G of RAM was working correctly with windows Sp2. At the time when I upgraded the laptop to windows sp3 the RAM was unable to be read, so I rolled back to Windows Sp2.
Now windows Sp2 is working properly but does not recognize the 3G of RAM.Only recognizes 1G OF RAM that came originally with the laptop
I believe that changing from Sp2 to Sp3 creted the problem. Now I am back with Sp2 original installed in the laptop.
Why the computer do not recognize the added Ram? Was working before those changes.
The added RAM 2G DDR2 , speed PC2-5300 is correct for the type of Laptop tha I am using and was working before.
Please I would like some one to help me to resolve this problem.

SP2 vs SP3 has absolutely nothing to with your RAM. This was already explained to you in your other thread. Obviously you've been playing around with the memory sticks so my guess is you haven't fully seated them in the RAM slots.
